Week FPL 14 Matchups
There are several decent picks in week 14 as far as FPL matchups go starting out with Chelsea and Man City. Both teams have been offensive juggernauts with each scoring the second most goals at 29 apiece. I would say that all attacking options are on the table with this one.
My second pick of the week is Tottenham. It’s true that they haven’t played up to expectations this year, but even so have managed to hold down fifth in the table and have allowed the fewest goals (along with Chelsea) at 10 this season. The problem defensively has been in not keeping clean sheets. This is a positive sign for Swansea who have scored at least one goal in their last 4 Premier League matches. Still, Spurs are a solid pick for attacking options, particularly Harry Kane. They also have a favorable set of fixtures coming up.
Even though Arsenal has been struggling for consistency, they are still fourth in the form table with 3 wins and 3 draws in the last 6 matches. In that time they have scored 12 and allowed 6. They will be facing a West Ham team that has picked up 2 points from their 4 games. In the last 6 games they’ve scored 6 goals, but allowed 7 against them. West Ham has looked like a team struggling for their identity this season and I fully expect Arsenal to take advantage of this. Alexis Sanchez has been on a tear recently and is a fantastic pick for week 14 along with Theo Walcott.
Once again Liverpool are still favorites to keep scoring considering they have a league high 32 goals and 14 in their last 6 matches. Even with Coutinho out for over a month, they have plenty of attacking options to keep them going. Facing Bournemouth this weekend will be an interesting match without Bournemouth playing relatively well in recent weeks. In their last 6 games they have scored 9 and allowed 8 goals.
If it’s a differential you’re looking for, Stoke City could be the team to look at. They are currently 3rd in the form table having lost just one match in their last 6 and facing a struggling Burnley team.
A few teams to avoid include Leicester City (winless in their last four), Crystal Palace (6 straight losses), and Hull City (scored just 4 goals in their last 6 while giving up 14).
That wraps up the week 14 FPL matchups. There should be some interesting matches this weekend and hopefully plenty of goals.
