It is widely known that Paris Saint-Germain are very rich and are not scared to spend the money they have. This much they showed last summer with the world record signing of Neymar from Barcelona and the loan deal for AS Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, which has a significant transfer fee set to go through next summer. And from several sources it appears they could be spending big again next summer, should they feel the need to.
Aside from the signing of players, they could also be bringing in a new manager. The Parisiens are believed to be less than impressed with the man management skills of their current manager, Unai Emery, and are eyeing a move for Jose Mourinho to replace him in the summer.
However, Manchester United are not ready to lose Mourinho, especially now that they are beginning to do well again. And as such have reportedly (reported in English by the Metro) promised Mourinho three big signings. The Portuguese coach was said to be disappointed in the management of the club last summer for their failure to help him sign Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic, but the club’s directors are said to be ready to make amends for that next summer.
The players they hope to sign include Antoine Griezmann, Gareth Bale and another big name player, which Ivan Perisic is speculated to be.
Last summer Griezmann was close to a move to Manchester United, but for the transfer ban slammed on Atletico Madrid, which was upheld by CAS. With Atletico Madrid able to sign players again from January (they have already agreed to sign Diego Costa from Chelsea), it would not be a surprise if Griezmann leaves, and Manchester United remain the hot favourites for his signature. The fact that Griezmann has a release clause means United have a good chance of getting him as all they need to do is match his buy-out fee. Paris Saint-Germain are likely to be interested in signing him too but the player himself has confirmed in the past that he is not keen on going back to the French league. Not too long ago he also confirmed he would like to play at the same club as Paul Pogba.
Gareth Bale has often been linked with a move back to England, with Manchester United said to be the club with the strongest interest in him. With the player constantly struggling with injuries, Real Madrid may be open to selling him, should the right offer be made.
It is not clear who the third player is but it could well be Ivan Perisic or Mesut Ozil, with the latter being recently linked with a free transfer move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.
