Manchester United are practically through to the second round of the UEFA champions league and as such it is expected that Mourinho will slightly rotate his squad when his team faces FC Basel. We are getting close to December, Mourinho will know he needs all of his players fit for the December fixture congestion hence the need to rest some players for some games.
Going into this game, Manchester United have three players out due to injury. They are Michael Carrick, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones. Bailly who has been a key player for the Red Devils this season suffered an injury which forced him out of the 4-1 defeat of Newcastle United over the weekend and is not expected back till the weekend game against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned to the team over the weekend but only Pogba is likely to play in this game. Marcos Rojo is also back to the team after returning back to full fitness but considering he has been out of action for a long time, we do not expect Mourinho to play him. He could travel with the team but he is most likely going to start from the bench.
Lukaku is another player we expect to see rested tomorrow. Marcus Rashford may be trusted to lead the attack in the absence of the former Everton and Chelsea striker.
