Arsenal Plan Signing Powerful 6ft Tall Assists King To Replace Mesut Ozil

Day by day as the winter transfer window gets closer, the possibility of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez leaving Arsenal increases. Both players have been linked with several clubs and Arsenal have in turn been linked with the signing of various replacements in their positions.

This week, Arsenal are being linked with the signing of Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici as a possible replacement for Mesut Ozil. The reports reckon the 20-year-old could be signed by the Gunners for £14 Million. However, Arsenal will have to beat off interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich for the signature of the youngster. But Arsenal’s cause could be helped by the fact that Mesut Ozil’s agent, Dr Erkut Sogut, also manages the affairs of Yusuf Yazici.

Yazici has been one of Trabzonspor’s most important players this season. He is yet to miss a game in the 2017-18 Turkish Super Lig campaign and had 10 assists and six goals in 22 appearances for Trabzonspor last season.

Considering his age, he has impressive numbers, but Ozil’s replacement? I bloody hope this is not what Arsene Wenger is thinking. I haven’t watched Yazici play, and judging by his numbers, he is a quality player, but in my opinion, if he is a player worthy of replacing Ozil, there would be much more noise about him in the media than there is currently. Arsenal should not make the mistake of replacing a player of Mesut Ozil’s quality with a rookie.

There are many big name players out there Arsenal could sign to replace Ozil but I doubt, without any form of disrespect, Yazici is one of those players.

If anything, the North London club should be aiming to sign players such as Nabil Fekir, Leon Goretzka, Julian Draxler, Riyad Mahrez or Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the replacement for Mesut Ozil, and not some unknown player in an obscure league like Turkey.

  1. Agree. Time is of the essence.
he will need time to adjust to the epl
coming from the Turkish league which is at
    least 2 rungs below epl.
He could be a big fish in a small pond
but will become small guy in a world of giants.
Yeah I know PV4. But then Italy has a much
    stronger soccer league.
