The January transfer window is just around the corner. And as we approach December, there has been news flying about everywhere linking clubs to the signing of one player to another. Manchester United have not been left out. Below is a round up all Manchester United’s transfer news so far this week:
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in Jose Mourinho but United are not ready to let him go, and as such will give him a new bumper contract worth £19.5 million a season. Aside from that, the Red Devils are said to be ready to help the Portuguese coach sign three big name stars. One of the three players is however unknown, but the remaining two are Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale.
Manchester United have once again been linked with the signing Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann. Last summer the French international was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford but had to stay at Atletico when the Court of Arbitration for Sports upheld a FIFA transfer ban slammed on the Spanish side. That ban ends on 31 December, which means Atleti can sign players from 1 January. Although it is unlikely that they will sell Griezmann in the winter, there have been rumours he could be off to the Premier League giants in the winter.
The Argentine, who is currently on the books of Juventus, has also been linked with Manchester United. Dybala started getting linked with the club when news emerged that Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle with Antoine Griezmann ahead of a move to Camp Nou in the summer. We will never know how true the Barca rumour is but reports claim should United fail in their attempt to sign Griezmann, they will then go for the Juventus striker. And if true, I doubt any United fan would complain as Dybala is a world class player.
Mourinho is not a fan of Luke Shaw. That’s more than obvious by now. The former Southampton player has struggled with either form or injuries since joining Manchester United, and if you believe reports, he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this winter or in the summer. In his place, Mourinho is said to be working to sign Tottenham’s Danny Rose. Rose himself has found playing time hard to come by at Tottenham this season but that’s due largely to his outburst last summer which led to him being dropped. Manchester United are said to be ready to offer £40 million for the England international, and are also open to a cash plus Luke Shaw deal as well.
The Brazilian midfielder was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but a deal didn’t happen. A lot has changed since the summer transfer window and now there is a real chance of United finally getting their man. Willian has not played regularly for Chelsea this season and he has confirmed that it has left him frustrated. Reports claim United are watching the situation and could make a move for him anytime soon. Mourinho is a big fan of Willian and wants to have him under his management again. This is one deal we strongly believe is possible, especially considering Chelsea seem ready to do business with their rivals in the league.
