And the runner up is….Mark Hughes!

Loftus Road - QPR

Mark Hughes becomes the second Premier League manager sacked this season as he was released from his duties at Queens Park Rangers by Tony Fernandes this morning. In some ways it is unfortunate since he was brought in fairly recently (less than a year) and it would have been nice to see him try to get this team working together.

The biggest mistake for QPR was probably in hiring him to begin with. Neil Warnock isn’t the best manager, but he at least brought some amount of stability to the club. The next mistake was allowing Mark Hughes to have so much control over the transfer money.

His spending spree to start the season was simply ridiculous. So many of the players brought in just did not mesh with one another. There is such a mish mash of styles, nationalities, and languages mixed into that side that it is no wonder they are struggling. Bringing in a new manager won’t necessarily change anything with that.

As it stands right now First Team Coach and Goalkeeper Coach Mark Bowen and Eddie Niedzwiecki will be in charge of QPR for their weekend match against Manchester United. Queens Park Rangers are hoping to have talks with Harry Redknapp on Monday. Redknapp is the odds on favorite to take over at Loftus Road.
