Premier League Scores: Result and Highlights from the EPL Fixture between Swansea City v Liverpool on Sunday, November 25, 2012.
Result: Swansea City 0 – 0 Liverpool
Location: Liberty Stadium – Swansea City
|Swansea – 0||Liverpool – 0|
This was a fun match to watch. Both teams play a fairly similar style with Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers attempting to bring what he learned at Swansea. Both teams set up to play possession football and press the opposition throughout the pitch.
Liverpool had a first half goal disallowed through a very tight offsides call. This came shortly after Raheem Sterling had hit the crossbar with a shot inside the box. Swansea started the first half the better side, but as Liverpool got into the match they ended the half as well as started the second half, as the better team. The second half finished with both teams getting chances, but Liverpool certainly doing more with 21 shots and 9 on target compared to the Swans 18 shots and only 2 on target.
I had predicted a draw, albeit 2 – 2, and draw is how it ended. I thought there would be more goals in this one, but both teams have been able to shore up defenses to cut down on past defensive errors. A draw was a fair result for both teams and there were definitely positives for both teams to take away from it.
