Last week I went 4 – 6 with my picks. I may have been a little overzealous, and week 1 was full of unexpected twists. This week’s matches are shaping up to be just as unpredictable.

Norwich City v. Queens Park Rangers is one in particular that could go either way and could also have significance come the end of the season relegation battle.

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their loss to Everton, but Fulham should be fully primed to give them a fight. Expect another end to end match with plenty of opportunities on both sides.

Chelsea v. Newcastle has a lot of promise, but it also has the potential to become a snooze fest, particularly if Chelsea get a lead and decide to just sit back and defend (like they did last week)

Southampton and Wigan could make for an interesting match as well. Both teams took a very attacking approach against top clubs last week. While Southampton kept it interesting, Wigan lacked the quality to get any goals. Look for more of the same from both sides on Saturday.

Sunday’s northwest derby between Liverpool and Man City could become a real cracker. With Brendan Rogers looking to get his first win in red, look for him to go for it from the start. This could easily lead to Man City getting a goal on the break. Expect City to sit back and defend if they get the lead. After last week’s excitement Mancini will be eager to defend any lead they get.
