Wow! Queens Park Rangers have finally done it. They have finally gotten their first win of the season. Their last win in the Barclays Premier League came on May 6th in their 1 – 0 win over Stoke City. Fulham did not play well and the win was deserved for a gusty Rangers side.
Adel Taarabt’s first goal may have been deflected, but it was a classy solo effort in which he dribbled through a wide open midfield and shot from about 30 yards out at the top of the box. His second goal was yet another brilliant solo effort where he again ran through the Fulham defense to shoot with the outside of his boot and into the lower left corner of the goal.
Queens Park Rangers win means that they may have a life-line to a way out of the bottom three. The win puts them above Reading and up to 10 points, 5 points behind Southampton and Wigan. Fulham’s loss keeps them in the bottom half of the table in 13th place on 20 points.
