Premier League Previews for West Brom v Manchester United along with Prediction for the week 29 match. Included in my preview is my pick, statistical analysis for each team, recent form, and betting odds.
West Bromwich Albion
At the moment West Brom are sitting just above the drop zone in 17th place and only 25 points. Depending on results for this weekend, they could finish the weekend in the bottom three. At home, the Baggies have drawn their last four Premier League matches all by the score line of 1-1. In fact, in their last seven matches there have not been more than two goals scored.
The season of disappointment has continued. While they were able to defeat Crystal Palace on the road, 2-0 in the Premier League, this was followed up by a 0-2 loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Since then they have had time to regroup and prepare for this weekend after having the past week and a half off.
My pick is a draw. At this point, it is really hard to pick Manchester United to win considering their form and the continued rumors swirling around the club. West Brom already beat them at Old Trafford back in September so another win for them is not out of the question despite the fact that United is undefeated in their last six away matches against West Brom.
This is also the same fixture that ended 5-5 in the last match of the 2012-13 EPL season, however, those were markedly different teams and circumstances.
Until Manchester United can prove that they are back into free flowing, scoring form, I have a hard time picking them for consistent wins.
