3 best fantasy football captains for GW7

Liverpool travel to Sheffield United looking to maintain their 100% winning record to start the 2019-20 EPL season. The game at Bramall Lane kicks off this weekend’s action in the English top flight.

Manchester City will be at least looking to keep within five points of the Premier League leaders when they travel to Everton in the Saturday evening kickoff. Pep Guardiola’s side are coming off an 8-0 thumping of Watford last weekend, whilst the Toffees were beaten 2-0 at home by Sheffield United.

The biggest game of the weekend comes at Old Trafford as Manchester United host Arsenal on Monday night. Fantasy football players will be looking for their Leicester City players to pick up good points at home to Newcastle United on Sunday.

Here are my tips for your fantasy football captain this weekend:

Raheem Sterling

The forward was rested last weekend but will be fresh to run the Everton defence ragged on Saturday. The Toffees have shipped two or more in their last four Premier League outings and many fans are calling for Marco Silva’s head after last weekend’s result.

Manchester City should be confident of a comfortable win at Goodison Park this weekend and Raheem Sterling should be among the goalscorers when he matches up against Seamus Coleman, who often isn’t offered defensive support from the midfield in front of him. Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne are good alternatives if you have either of those instead of Sterling in your team.

Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham was kept quiet before being substituted against Liverpool last weekend. The young striker has already proven he can score against sides out of the top six though as he has done versus Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City and Sheffield United in recent weeks.

Brighton & Hove Albion are the visitors to Stamford Bridge this weekend in what could be another high-scoring affair involving Frank Lampard’s side. They have scored in every game since being thrashed 4-0 at Manchester United in their opener, whilst they have not kept a clean sheet in the Premier League under their new manager. For Chelsea to win as many expect they are going to need a couple of goals and Tammy Abraham is their main man up front.

Son Heung-min

The Tottenham forward is looking lively as they got into the weekend hosting Southampton. Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be expected to come away with three points to bounce back from their surprise EFL Cup exit at the hands of League Two side Colchester United midweek.

Son Heung-min has proven a good fantasy football buy over the past season or so and could be a good choice as your captain this weekend when they welcome the Saints to their new stadium.
