3 best fantasy football captains for GW11

Liverpool travel to Aston Villa on Saturday as Manchester City host Southampton in two of the Premier League 3pm GMT kickoffs. The first game of the weekend comes from the Vitality Stadium where Bournemouth welcome Manchester United.

In the evening game, Chelsea travel to bottom of the table Watford, looking to make it five successive away league victories for Frank Lampard’s side.

Sunday’s games see Crystal Palace host Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur travel to Everton.

Here are gameweek 11’s best choices for your fantasy football captain:

Sergio Aguero

Manchester City welcome a Southampton side who they beat 3-1 in the EFL Cup midweek back to the Etihad Stadium for Premier League action this weekend. In the league, the Saints are coming off the back of a 9-0 drubbing at home to Leicester City last Friday.

Pep Guardiola’s side aren’t in Champions League action until Wednesday so I think he plays his strongest XI this weekend. That means any one of Manchester City’s attackers should be strongly considered for your fantasy captain this week. I am picking Sergio Aguero because he scores whenever he starts and I think he’ll play close to 90 minutes in this game with Gabriel Jesus starting midweek, as the manager will want his Argentine star fresh for next weekend’s trip to Anfield.

Jamie Vardy bagged a hat-trick as Leicester’s striker against Southampton, so why can’t Aguero do the same on Saturday?

Tammy Abraham

Chelsea go to Watford on Saturday evening after scoring 16 goals in their last four Premier League away games, winning all of them. Frank Lampard’s side are widely expected to pick up another three points this weekend.

Whilst Tammy Abraham hasn’t been in the best of form of late, I still think he starts this game. He’s also scored six of his eight Premier League goals away from home, and the Hornets are simply woeful. Don’t be surprised if the England international bags a couple in this one.

Christian Pulisic may be another popular choice for captain this weekend after his hat-trick at Burnley last time out.

Jamie Vardy

I think Leicester City will come away from Crystal Palace with all three points on Sunday as they look to maintain or even strengthen their top four position. Brendan Rodgers’ side are playing great at the moment and I don’t see that stopping in Southeast London.

Jame Vardy is the obvious choice of Leicester players to choose as captain. The striker has scored 18 goals in 20 Premier League appearances under the current manager, so why not?

The former England international has supply from James Maddison and Youri Tielemans from the middle of the park and I expect him to be a real threat on the counter-attack. Don’t be surprised if he wins another penalty too.
