Video Highlights from Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League matches for the Round of 16.
AC Milan 2 – 0 Barcelona: Goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari mean the Italians will travel to the Camp Nou with a two goal aggregate lead. The more impressive part of the game was the way in which Milan shut down Lionel Messi and the rest of the Barca squad. Barcelona had 73% possession but still only managed to get off 7 shots (with only 1 on target). This certainly sees AC Milan as the favorites in the tie. An away goal on the return leg on March 12 would be massive, but they may not even need that much if they can shut down the Catalans again.

Galatasaray 1 – 1 Schalke 04: Jermaine Jones’ 45th minute goal could be enough to see them through to the quarterfinals. The Germans managed to come away from the dreaded Turkish atmosphere with a crucial away goal against a Galatasaray squad that has been improved on in the January transfer window. Both new signings, Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder, made their Champions League debuts for both the club and for this 2012-13 season. Galatasaray’s leading scoring Burak Yilmaz did manage to get on the scoring sheet early in the first half with a 12th minute goal.
