Both West Ham and West Brom seemed to start out this Premier League season well enough, but now West Ham still isn’t completely clear of the relegation zone while West Brom is certainly too far away from any European placement. Their EPL match on Saturday could be an interesting one.
Both teams seem to be relying on their early season performances and the points they gained then. Recently West Brom has picked it up a bit more, but is much more inconsistent than at the start. West Ham has not played the prettiest of football this year, especially compared to West Brom, but they have done enough to get results. I expect them to play a rather defensive 4-3-3 looking to get the ball into the box for Andy Carroll.
I don’t know that there will be a whole lot in this one. West Brom should probably dominate possession, but they haven’t always played the greatest on the road. I’m predicting a low scoring draw, although West Ham does have more to fight for than West Brom. With this in mind I could see them pulling out a win to help them away from the drop zone.
West Ham (W, L, L, W, L) 1 – 1 West Brom (W, W, L, W, D)
