Premier League Preview for Newcastle United v Fulham along with Predictions for every result in the EPL. Follow up each match with results and video highlights posted later in the week.
Newcastle United’s fans have not been happy at the start of this 2013-14 EPL season. Having Yohan Cabaye unsettled and refusing to play doesn’t help any of this. His quality in midfield was something that manager Alan Pardew was counting on this season and missing him will hurt.
Fulham began the year with a solid win, but more or less rolled over for Arsenal in week 2. They will need to be stronger in defense and make their chances count on offense. They had some decent chances and half chances against Arsenal, but lacked a better final ball.
These two teams are solid middle of the table contenders that are looking to break into the top ten. My prediction is that they will finish with a low scoring draw on Saturday. Both teams have had very poor showings against Arsenal this season and this is a chance for both teams to show what they are capable of. I would shade Newcastle more for the win than Fulham, but without Cabaye they are lacking an edge to their attack.
Form: Newcastle United (L, D) Fulham (W, L)
Prediction: Newcastle United 1 – 1 Fulham
