Crystal Palace

Last weekend saw Crystal Palace go down 2-0 to West Brom for their ninth loss of the season and seventh in a row. In those seven matches they have allowed two or more goals and scored only twice. They are bottom of the table with three points from their single win of the season. In the first ten matches of the season they have scored only six while allowing 21.

Everton

Against Tottenham on Sunday Everton came through with a 0-0 draw and kept another clean sheet. This keeps their decent start in place as they sit in seventh place with 19 points (level with both Southampton and Manchester City, but below them in goal difference). Everton’s offensive statistics have been fairly good with an average of 5 shots on target with 14 taken. Even more than this they have averaged 13 dribbles per match while maintaining 57% possession and completing 83% of their passes.

Prediction

My prediction is for an Everton win. I would expect them to score at least two goals and most likely keep a clean sheet. Crystal Palace have been woeful this season and look like relegation fodder.

Betting Odds: Crystal Palace win: 6.34-7.00; Draw: 3.95-4.30; Everton win: 1.54-1.58

Form: Crystal Palace (L, L, L, L, L, L)  Everton (W, W, L, W, W, D)

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0 – 2 Everton
