This is the time for Hull to start worrying. They are certainly not safe from relegation despite being in 13th place, mostly due to their 23 points, only four above the drop. Most of the work done to get to this point was at the beginning of the season and they have currently lost four EPL matches in a row.
Hull currently have just one win in their last ten matches in the Premier League which include six losses. In this time they have been kept from scoring in six matches with one anomaly in their 6-0 home win over Fulham.
Hull have three players out including goalkeeper Allan McGregor who was sent off in their midweek 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace. In addition both James Chester and Sone Aluko are out, though Aluko could return.
Spurs may have been outplayed in their midweek 1-5 home loss, but this was to Manchester City and included some rather controversial calls that could have made the score lower than it was.
In Tottenham’s last five away matches in the Premier League they have scored at least two goals and have won all five of them. In away matches this season they have averaged scoring 1.5 goals per game with 16.3 shots. They have also allowed 1.2 goals from 11.9 shots per game.
Tottenham will be without Danny Rose for this one match following his red card in their midweek loss. In addition both Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend are questionable.
I’m going with a pick of a comfortable Tottenham win. They have been playing high possession football while creating a lot of chances and are facing a team that has been struggling for results. It’s hard to see Hull being able to get something out of this match, though anything is possible.
