In gameweek 21 of the Fantasy Premier League season managers now have several changes to contend with. In addition to injuries and suspensions there is also the African Cup of Nations as well as the Asian Cup taking place meaning that there will be several players missing in action while they participate with their respective countries.
Unfortunately for FPL players this includes some of the top players like Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony. This means that we now have to find replacements.
Here are some of the top trending players in terms of form as well as transfers in:
Harry Kane: The young Tottenham forward is the most transferred in player and for good reason. Not only is he fairly cheap at 5.7M, but he is perhaps the most in-form player in the Premier League right now. In the past five matches he has scored five goals and racked up 8,8,12,2, and 18 points in this time.
Eden Hazard: Eden Hazard was given a rest in last weekend’s FA Cup match which means he should be ready to go again in gameweek 21. He has been a top performing player all season and in the last five weeks his lowest tally has been six points. In that time he has scored three goals and provided three assists.
John Terry: Despite allowing five goals against Tottenham in week 20, Terry was still able to pick up six points thanks to a goal. He has also picked up points from scoring two additional goals and three clean sheets in Chelsea’s last five matches.
Nacer Chadli: The Spurs midfielder has started to show a resurgence in form in recent weeks picking up 5, 5, 3, and 15 points in the last four matches. During this time he has also provided three assists, picked up a clean sheet, and scored a goal. Tottenham’s next string of three matches is quite favorable for them as they face Crystal Palace, Sunderland and West Brom.
David Silva: Since returning to the lineup for Manchester City, Silva has scored four goals, provided an assist and three clean sheets. The week 20 performance was nothing special with just two points scored, but he should be able to turn this around against Everton.
