Gameweek 22 in the fantasy Premier League season brings with it some difficult picks. Providing tips for this weekend could include using your wildcard to make changes to your FPL team. Remember that week 23 is your last week to use the January wildcard.
This gameweek’s two biggest transfers in have been Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane. Aguero looks likely to start against Arsenal and has been a big game player for Manchester City. Despite missing five matches he is still the fifth ranked player in points and has the second most goals scored with 14 this season.
Harry Kane has been the most in form player in recent weeks. In the past six matches he has failed to score just once, against Manchester United. This was also his lowest points tally with 7 points. With Tottenham facing a struggling Sunderland side, he is pretty much a must have for every team in fantasy Premier League.
If you are looking for some decent matchups go check out my Week 22 Premier League predictions. As far as FPL matchups go here are a few to take a look at.
West Ham United v Hull City: West Ham may have dropped a few places in the table, but they are a good team and face a rather weak Hull City team that is lacking in strikers, or any other goal scoring threat. Picking up any West Ham player is probably a good option this weekend while avoiding Hull City players is a must.
Burnley v Crystal Palace: Both Burnley and Crystal Palace have been trending upward. Alan Pardew has the Eagles playing more attacking soccer which can also be said for Burnley. Burnley has scored at least two goals in each of their last three matches and I’m predicting more goals in this one; from both teams as well.
Leicester City v Stoke City: This is a match that could be a 0-0. At the same time it has the potential to be a 3-3. Either way, there are players to be picked up for cheap on both sides. With Leicester’s recent form and Stoke’s struggles I’m giving the advantage to Leicester City.
With Manchester United travelling to Queens Park Rangers there are players to be had, however, I would avoid any in defense, or even midfield. Charlie Austin and Wayne Rooney are the only two I’m recommending here as both look likely to get on the score sheet. Wayne Rooney is an especially good choice considering Robin van Persie’s injury.
As always, I wish you good luck in your gameweek 22 fantasy Premier League endeavors. Hopefully this tips help you out in moving up in the standings.
