Gameweek 26 Fantasy Premier League Player Rankings

Fantasy Premier League TipsStarting with gameweek 26 I will be doing weekly fantasy Premier League player rankings. This will include rankings for each position and will be based on the positioning set within the official FPL game.

Determining rankings will be based on the players form as well as upcoming matches for the week. For a more thorough look at rankings Togga has been posting rankings for each position as rated by several experts. You can read this week’s expert rankings including my rankings at Togga Goalkeeper Rankings, Defender, Midfielder, and Forward.

I will be ranking each position with a limited number of ranks as follows:

5 goalkeepers

10 defenders

The majority of those ranked will be higher priced options for teams, but these are also players that can be seen as must starts for this week. You can check out my week 26 Premier League predictions for an idea on match-ups for the week as well to help you determine which players to add or avoid.

For forwards it was a bit of a toss-up for the top four and I would say any one of those four would be must start players. Harry Kane has been the in-form striker of the past several months, but Tottenham face a difficult match against West Ham.

Diego Costa is just returning from a period of inaction while Sergio Aguero has not been the greatest lately either. This just goes to show that while all of these players have some risk involved there is also the fact that they have all been able to prove they can put up some great fantasy points for your team.

It should be noted that I included Alexis Sanchez as a midfielder here due to him being listed as so in the official fantasy Premier League game. In some formats he is listed as a forward and I would put him at the top of the forwards list in those league.

Feel free to leave your comments below on your rankings or follow me and reply via twitter. Stay tuned for posts coming later in the week to prepare for week 26 in the fantasy Premier League season.

  1. Umm may I ask why trippier is second on the defenders list when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge? It doesn’t seem like a wise move to have him playing this week.

    • I have him second for a few reasons. Chelsea had a midweek Champions League match and Burnley could benefit from the fatigue associated with it. Trippier has produced 2 out of his 3 assists in the past 4 matches. I know, he’s a risk, but at 4.8 I think he’s a risk worth taking. If Burnley are to score, there’s a very good chance that it comes from their fullback.
