Week 9 Premier League Predictions

The Premier League returns at last meaning we can finally get back to some exciting football again. Week nine features this weekend in the EPL and my predictions are here to help you figure out what is going on and to prepare your FPL teams.

There are several excellent matches to help ease us into the Premier League season again and kick off with the Jurgen Klopp’s first match as Liverpool manager as they travel to Tottenham. Can Chelsea return to winning form against Aston Villa? Will Manchester United finally get a win at Goodison Park or will Everton continue their trend of getting results at home against the Red Devils?

The biggest issue going into this weekend is the number of injuries that have claimed various players while away with their national teams. That is just one of the problems I have with this time of year. I’m mostly fine with the international tournaments held in the offseason, but I watch and support club football and don’t care one lick for international teams. They are a waste of resources, time, and money. This is compounded by the amount of times that players go away and come back injured leaving the team that PAYS them to play without their services.

With that rant out of the way here are my week 9 Premier League predictions:

Whether these predictions are close or not, it is always fun to go through and get some idea of how these matches might turn out. With the number of injuries out there and the international break having just occurred this is a difficult time to pick winners and losers. The great thing about football, and this season especially, is how unpredictable it can be.
