Week 14 Premier League predictions and FPL matchups

Week 14 Premier League predictionsFor the week 14 Premier League predictions there are several matches that have implications for the table as well as some interesting FPL matchups. For all of you fantasy Premier League managers out there Everton remain one of the key teams for player pickups this weekend as they travel to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have already allowed 27 goals this season and, despite the 2-2 draw at Swansea, have struggled to pick up points with nine points from their 13 matches. Romelu Lukaku’s two goals against Aston Villa has given him a total of 10 on the season including three consecutive matches scoring at least one goal.

Jaime Vardy’s amazing run of ten consecutive matches scoring a goal has helped propel Leicester City to the top of the table. Saturday’s late match features the top two teams in the table as Leicester host Manchester United. The winner here will take the top of the table while a draw could be enough for Leicester, but only if Man City and Arsenal fail to win.

While Mahrez and Vardy remain two of the top FPL players this season, I’m not backing them for this weekend against a Manchester United side that has given up a league low nine goals this season. Saturday’s game should have been their fifth consecutive clean sheet except for a poor refereeing decision. Still, they have kept a league high eight clean sheets.

The striker that is my second pick of the weekend is Harry Kane. Tottenham host Chelsea after their fantastic 4-1 win over West Ham United. Tottenham go into Sunday’s early match with just one defeat this season, in their opening match to Manchester United. Chelsea, on the other hand, just picked up their second win of the season in a scrappy 1-0 over 16th place Norwich, who happen to be just two points below Chelsea.

This win might be the catalyst for Chelsea to pick up a string of results, but this has been said already this season. A draw might be a fair result, but Spurs are flying high and Chelsea are still trying to get off the ground.

There are three other big FPL matchups in week 14 including Stoke City travelling to Sunderland, Liverpool hosting Swansea, and Arsenal away to Norwich City. All three of these teams should be quality picks for fantasy football managers to get some points, whether that is in DFS format or season long leagues.

Once again, I do hope these matchups are helpful. They don’t always work out, but it is my hope that it can provide some insight and help you in setting your teams for the week. Good luck!
