The Gunners come into week 24 having been dropped from first to second in the Premier League. A win would put them back into first, at least until after they find out the result of the Manchester City v Chelsea match. The 2-2 draw at Southampton in midweek is a blow to their title chances, but doesn’t mean they are out of it.
Arsenal have scored at least two goals in 7 out of their last 8 matches in all competitions. In their last 9 matches in all competitions they have kept six clean sheets and have failed to score in only one of those matches, the 0-0 home draw to Chelsea back on December 23 in the EPL.
Arsenal’s home form remains quite good with just the one loss in the Premier League this season. They have also kept 7 clean sheets in their 11 home matches.
Arsenal have several injuries and a suspension. With Mathieu Flamini picking up a red card in midweek he will be out for three weeks. In addition to missing Flamini they will be without Aaron Ramsey, Yaya Sonogo, Theo Walcott, and Jack Wishire.
The last time that Crystal Palace won two EPL matches in a row back at the start of December it was followed up by a 2-1 away loss to Chelsea. They now have back to back 1-0 home wins, but travelling to Arsenal means they have an uphill battle if they want to get their first string of three straight results.
The biggest problem with Crystal Palace this season has been their failure to score with a league low 15 scored this season. They have now scored in 4 out of their last 6 EPL matches as well as 6 in their last 8 in all competitions. They have averaged 0.7 goals scored per game, dropping to 0.5 per game on the road. This is contrasted by allowing 1.4 per game and 1.6 per away game.
Crystal Palace’s injury concerns include Kagisho Dikgacoi, Glenn Murray, Jonathan Parr and Jerome Thomas.
My pick is another Arsenal win. To do this, they will need to overcome what will likely be a strong, solid Crystal Palace defensive setup. Palace could definitely come out of this one with a result, even a win, but that does seem rather far-fetched. Arsenal should still have plenty of attacking options even without Ramsey, Walcott, and Wilshire.

Form: Arsenal (W, W, W, W, W, D) Crystal Palace (W, L, D, L, W, W)
