Premier League Preview for Arsenal v Norwich City along with Predictions for every result in the EPL. Follow up each match with results and video highlights posted later in the week.
Arsenal could be one of the teams affected by the international break. While there haven’t been any major injury concerns, there were several players out on international duty that could be tired. It could also be a chance for some of them to continue where they left off.
Norwich City have been struggling for results this season and have especially struggled to balance their offense and defense as well as how to set up and get results. They have allowed nine goals to start the season while only scoring five.
Arsenal are currently at the top of the table with their only loss coming against Aston Villa in the first week. Their only other loss of points came in their 1-1 draw away to a surging West Brom. Arsenal have scored 14 goals (second most in the EPL), but their defensive frailties can be seen in allowing eight goals.
My prediction is a 2-0 Arsenal win, but that doesn’t mean you should count out Norwich. They are a team that will have had a chance to work on tactics during the international break and hopefully develop some sense of understanding. If they have any hope in this match they will need to find that balance between defending and going on the attack.
If Norwich try to set up in their own defensive third it will be recipe for disaster against an Arsenal side that has so many attacking options. Arsenal’s biggest weakness is certainly their defense and Norwich could very easily nick a few goals and make it interesting, possibly even getting a shock result.
Betting Odds: Arsenal win: 1.28-1.29; Draw: 5.50-5.92; Norwich win: 10.54-13.15
Form: Arsenal (W, W, W, W, W, D) Norwich (L, W, L, L, W, L)
Prediction: Arsenal 2 – 0 Norwich City
